My Name is Tom Echlin, I am an interdisciplinary artist from North Wales who has an MA in Interdisciplinary Art Practice at Wrexham University. My creative practice spans painting, sculpting, scale modelling, soundscapes, 3D rendering and animation. My recent focus revolves around the concept of hauntology, which challenges traditional views of the past as a linear timeline, and instead composite the past as a haunting presence that disrupts the present.

My work can be described as atmospheric, immersive and deeply rooted in exploring the intersection of memory, history and haunting presences. The work predominantly have a spectral quality, blending the material world with ghostly ethereal elements. My paintings serve as portals into landscapes or scenes that feel familiar and uncanny, often provoking a sense of nostalgia inter-wined with unease.

To accompany my work I create soundscapes which feature slow beats, found sound and distant echoes of what sounds like a lost song.
