So with this module I have been led in many directions and I think I've gotten lost along the way with what I am doing. My current work has been focused on my local area trying to integrate a sheet ghost wandering through it. From what was, to what is, to what could be. I like that idea because many people could think about that when they're out walking along a public footpath. The history.

But I feel along the way I got a bit too ambitious with my work by trying to replicate these places digitally and it did not work at all. These reasons being, my own skill barrier, my software that I am using and lack of inspiration. I have a tendency while creating work to just play and experiment with different ideas.

like these for example -

The pieces above have been me playing around with different ideas or use of scale and textures to what might work or not. Most of them didn't work as they were supposed to be short animations but as my laptop specs didn't like how ambitious I wanted to be. So I scrapped those Ideas.

All those ideas had aspects to them. Then, now and what could be.

This module has been an extremely challenging one for me, I find it difficult to collaborate with other outside of my practice, mainly because the focus on hauntology and using the sheet ghost is a niche subject which doesn't really attract many people because they automatically think of the spooky ghosts. when in reality it isn't. My work focuses on the passage of time and the surroundings, the use of a sheet ghost is used as a metaphor for time and the viewers perspective in that aspect and the sound is a vessel to do so. Doing this module has got me to learn communication skills, time management and collaboration skills. I have also learnt that I cant rely on other people, because they have their own objective and commitments.

I have found a artist that I have been using for some inspiration for my body of work. Stuz0r https://www.behance.net/stuz0r

Stuart Lippincott

This artist also focuses on 'Draped Sheet' Its used in a different way to mine. While looking t his works, this "sheet" is portrayed as a god like phenomena which emerges into a scene of people worshipping or other worldly settings like a temple or visions into a technology driven past or a temple focussed future.

(I do not own these images above, They belong to Stuz0r Aka Stuart Lippincott)

His work Is absolutely fantastic and covers a broad range of aspects, like space travel to jungle exploration. He is incredibly influential to my work with the way he positions the camera and what his environments feature and look like.
