The Aesthetic of Absence

During my residency I propose to create a body of work exploring the aesthetic of absence, focusing on oil painting, sculpture and digital rendering. Through the exploration of The Absence of Aesthetic I will focus on the main elements of art, colour, form, shape, line, space and texture. These will be important to my proposal as I intend to create minimal sculptures and paintings which focus on the use of space and form predominantly, using the sculptures as an influence, I can then paint them onto canvas, incorporating them into different types of forms, colour and mediums.

Having this opportunity would be a great starting point for me to focus on an online presence and content creation via Tik Tok, Instagram etc. This opportunity would also give me time to explore what I would like to do with the coming years, like a PHD or a more independent role within the art community like self employed.
