here is an update picture of the cherub from the titanic that i have been working on. I had to print it in sections because I couldn't risk having a 10+ hour print failing half way through. I printed the cherub in 8 sections, each bit taking from 3-7 hours printing. I'd have to sit with the print for the first few layers to make sure it stuck to bed properly, then I could go about my day and do my own thing. once it was fully printed and assembled, I coated it in a thin layer of uv resin then a layer of texture medium and wood filler. Doing these steps helps fill in the small layer gaps in the print. after this It went through alot of sanding then painting in a base of black paint. once that layer had dried I used my airbrush gun to get some base colours down, after that I when back into it with watered down colours and a tissue to bring out the highlight and to show the aged look.
